What causes a bright white light in my left eye when eye is closed and trying to sleep?
When I wake up in the morning, but I am still trying to sleep, I lay in bed with my eyes close. I often notice a bright white light flashing on and off in my left eye only. It is like a half-light, like a bulb that is half below the horizon somehow with a corona around it. It is actually quite pretty, but a bit annoying because I don't know what might be the cause of it.
could be a detached retina or high blood pressure or nothing at all
