Do I eat more or eat less to lose weight and fat?
ok this is really confusing me. I've read on a few websites that in order to lose weight/fat you need to eat more so your metabolism doesn't go down but more doesn't mean like more calories just smarter choices like vegetables but on other websites i've seen eat less. so which is it?

Calories In:
You have it right, it's about smarter choices. Eating more actually means eating MORE OFTEN, but not more food. This allows for a more consistent metabolic rate, and without consistency your metabolism can slow down. The human body is amazing in regards to conserving energy, which is why your metabolism can seem to slow down with less frequent meals. A very important thing to watch is the size of your portions, even when eating less fatty foods. People feel that they can eat a large meal and still be healthy, because they ate something that was somewhat healthy. Just remember that the larger the portion, the more calories involved, no matter what it is.
Calories Out
More frequent meals are better than less frequents meals in regards to maintaining a higher metabolic rate.
Exercising makes an incredible difference as well, as you are expending more energy during any given time frame. Also, exercise can result in an increased metabolic rate for up to multiple hours after you have completed it, meaning that your body will be using more energy than it would normally.
If your goal is to burn fat, try exercises that require more stamina, such as walking or jogging. Carbohydrates are typically the first source to be burned, so longer exercises are more efficient for burning fat.
